One of the simplest ways to support the PTO financially is through a tax-deductible direct donation. These funds support grade-level activities, field trips, and special events throughout the year. We are still accepting donations for our No-Fuss Unfundraiser. You can submit payment using on of our QR codes below or send cash or check (made out to Horizon PTO) with your child to school.

PTO Dues

We ask for $5 PTO dues at the start of the school year but donations of any amount are appreciated at any time! Here is how you can pay your PTO dues…

  • Scan the Venmo/Paypal QR code above!
    • Make sure to note it is for your PTO membership in the note.

OR….

  • Log into your Infinite Campus account
  • Click on Fees
  • Then at the bottom, click on Optional Payments
  • Select HZ PTO DONATION and click Add To Your Cart
  • Once added to your Cart, you can select your Cart and pay
  • THANK YOU!

Box Tops

Another simple way to help PTO, is to download the Box Tops for Education app and start scanning! Horizon Elementary PTO will earn cash for every receipt you scan!

You will want to search for Horizon Elementary Johnston (zip code 50131). Once you have your app all set up, just start scanning your receipts! It’s that easy!

Friends of Horizon

The FRIENDS OF HORIZON program was developed as a voluntary alternative program for families to make donations to our school outside of the traditional fundraising efforts. Although most materials are purchased with district funds, the money raised by the FRIENDS OF HORIZON program provides additional, much needed resources for the students and staff of Horizon.

All proceeds (100%) donated through this program are used for PTO supported projects for Horizon. Also, all contributions are tax-deductible and a receipt for your generous donation will be provided for your tax records. Many area employers support schools through gift-matching programs for their employees. Please check our list of Charitable Match Programs to see if yours is one of them!
